While researching human history, I was especially interested in how we migrated out of Africa and to every other part of the globe (aside from Antarctica). A map with a brightly colored path of migration, showed how we moved up through Africa, into Europe, across to the Americas, and in the opposite direction as well, into Europe and across through Asia and down from there to the islands and Australia.

I loosely replicated this map with a large orange swath of color, somewhat directional, and also becoming it's own form. Purple blooms reference a population map I came across during research, and swooshing lines depict airplane travel of the modern day as we continue to traipse around the world.
